The Rest of Summer

yes...i'm getting worse at getting pictures up...and at keeping up with all of Amelia's antics and changes!  It feels like we are on a roller coaster sometimes trying to keep up with how fast she is changing and growing.  She is saying lots of words, moving wherever she wants at any speed she wants, forwards, backwards, upside down!  She loves to swing, play outside, blow bubbles, go for walks and read books, and play hide and seek in her princess tent.  And she is all girl!  With the emotions that accompany that: meltdowns that accompany any misunderstanding or slowness!  We are in a hurry to do it all and see it all and be it all!  (Doesn't really change does it :)  )  Enjoy some recent snapshots of Amelia being Amelia.....

We have had an exciting 2 months!  

We moved into a house over Memorial Day Weekend.  (Will post some pics of house later).  

We have had family visits!  (Aunt Eden, Nana and Papa, Aunt Synder) 

Steve has been traveling for work and...we had a half birthday tea party for Amelia.  

We've been busy and blessed, and happy to report that we are all well, and often thanking the Lord for our many, many rich blessings.

Blue Bonnets and Walking

The biggest news to report is that Amelia has decided to walk!  Literally, about 12 days ago now, I could see the decision making process run through her brain, just under the skin of her forehead!  And there was no turning back, she has been busy, busy, busy since then.  And she's pretty good at it too; I think she made most of the mistakes in her head over the last month or so that she was deciding to walk or not to walk!  Anyhow...

We succumbed to a Texas tradition this past month.  We took "Easter pictures" of Amelia in the blue bonnets...oh no...do not be deceived, this is no ordinary  weed that grows tall so that it can hide ant hills, slithering snakes and who knows what else...no this is the most famed spring flower in all of Texas, and you must place your child in the middle of one of these patches, by themselves, and snap cute little photos while you pray that nothing eats them alive in the few minutes you are 6 feet away from them!  so...enjoy....

Our Lives Thru Easter Weekend

Every year, I am particularly interested in the Saturday before Easter. What was that full day like when Christ was in the grave, and there was not yet a Resurrection Morn....I don't know which day was more difficult, the day of His actual death, or the day after...the day in between.

I often feel like we are living in the "in betweens", though we have HOPE and certainly our hope is FIXED because of His resurrection.

But...let me digress to some of our personal "in betweens"

Amelia is "in between" crawling and walking. She is taking about 5 steps at a time now on her own, and walking everywhere she can get to, while squeezing the life blood out of our fingers! Every other place she crawls to.

She is "in between" talking and sound making...and she LOVES mimicking all sorts of sounds! Keeps us in stitches around here. But, she is now saying, "bow-wow", "uh-oh", "kitty" (not perfectly of course, but discernible) and "ball". Most things are somehow balls and bow-wows and everything gets an uh-oh.

We are "in between" apartment and house! YAE!!! Memorial Day weekend, we will be moving into a house. Great story there...but too much to write out, God just worked it out. So, we are already putting stuff in boxes, and not putting stuff away that's just going to get packed in a few weeks.

We are "in between" with Steve's job....not J-O-B-S, just inside of his job. It has been a relatively calm month, but the next 2 months they will be opening new stores and there will be travel and long hours involved.

I'm sure I could find more "in-betweens"....but, I know you want to see pictures...and they speak a thousand words...
